This seems to be reducing the stains and tartar on my dogs' teeth. It does have a distinctive odor, which deterred one of my dogs from drinking from the water bowl for a couple of days. (Caught him drinking out of the toilet instead.) I halved the amount of PetDental in the water, and tricked my dog into chasing an ice cube tossed into the water bowl. Now everybody seems to be fine with drinking the tasty water. I give him Nylabone Nutri Dent Original Minichews for Mini Dogs, 72-Count Pouch every few days to help keep his teeth clean, but I didn't start that until he was 2 years old or so. So, he has plaque and tartar build-up. I'm hoping that after using Pet Dental for a couple of months, his tartar and plaque will be removed.
