I've only seen a few reviews here from cat-owners and they say 'My cats don't like it'. Well, DUH!No they don't. Cats are not quite as easy to deal with as dogs but if you arent TOTALLY lazy it can be VERY beneficial to your older feline children. You've got to grab them, hold them down and smear it on their teeth and gums as best you can before you lose a hand. I will admit I've been using it less than I should because it's a HUGE pain. BUT, my girls are going on 12, anathesia is NOT advisable AND it costs $300-$400 for each one! This is definately improving their gums. They are picking up and playing with their toys again. They are still rubbing their gums but no longer obessively. I'm hoping as I continue treatment they will eventually no longer have irritated guns. I WOULD personally advise against the Salmon flavor. They don't like it anymore than if you were trying to feed them arsenic and it stinks... I bought this product on the hope that something would work on my little friend. Her plaque was so thick you could barely see her teeth. She would have to go under anesthesia again. She was a rescue dog and had so many things wrong with her, including blindness that I started looking for alternate ways to help her sick teeth get better. I used the product and after only 5 days, applying it faithfully twice (2) a day and brushing her teeth each time, I pulled at the plaque and it fell off like broken eggshells. A few days latter I pulled at a brown spot on her front canine and it fell off likewise. I now use this faithfully on both my dogs and their teeth are perfectly normal. My little friend had to go back in for other problems and when the vet saw her teeth he was shocked. He said her teeth were in great condition and wouldn't need to be cleaned. He checked his chart twice, thinking he had made a mistake about her teeth being bad.
