I have an extremely difficult dog to brush! This is the first time using a finger brush for me and I think the design of it helped - it gives you something to grip on while using your finger to brush the dog's mouth. I have really small hands as well and I was still able to use it. The bristles are flexible and silicone like and seemed to be the right size for my dog's mouth. She is an 18 lb dog - yorkshire/poodle mix. Very easy to clean as well - I just washed it with dish soap and dried it, it dries pretty quickly. Only odd thing I found (which isn't really that negative) is the color is different - the one I got was orange and the one in the photo is blue, I'm not sure if its a different product or if its the same in a different color but it works well and looks like the photo except for the color.
